European Cluster Managers' Club

The European Cluster Managers’ Club is glad to announce the 4th edition of the European Cluster Manager of the Year Award. In 2012 the award will again honour an outstanding European Cluster Manager for his/her excellent and professional work. 

How to apply for the Award

To apply for the award please complete the “Application Form” until the 16th of March 2012. For any questions you may have please refer to the “Brochure for Application”.

The competition is open to every cluster manager in Europe. It is not obligatory to be a member of the European Cluster Managers’ Club or any other cluster association.
The voting session for the nominees and the award ceremony will take place on the occasion of the European Cluster Conference 2012, in Vienna, 18.-20. April. 

  • Would you like to share a recent success story in your cluster initiative that you are really proud of? 

  • Did you achieve something outstanding that has positively affected the competitiveness of your member companies? 

  • Have you set up a striking international cooperation project that you would like to tell about? 

Then run for “Cluster Manager of the Year 2012”. 

Awarding process

The competition is open to every cluster manager in Europe. It is not obligatory to be a member of the European Cluster Managers’ Club or any other cluster association.
After the Applications for the Award arrived at the European Cluster Managers Club the award process will go on with the following steps: 

  1. Four nominees will be selected among the applicants by a jury composed of recognised European Cluster Practitioners coming from different regions of Europe.
  2. During the European Cluster Conference 2012 on the 19th of April in Vienna, the 4 nominees present themselves to the audience have to answer 3 questions in a pitch format. Finally the audience will elect the cluster manager of the year 2012 via a paper based ballot. 
  3. The winner will be awarded during an official Award Ceremony, taking place in the evening of the 19th of April also in the frame of the conference. The prize will honour the cluster manager’s strong and successful impact on his or her cluster.

Please note: For the four nominees who are shortlisted for the Award, participation at the second day of the European Cluster Conference 2012 (19.4.) is obligatory. Nominees that cannot participate at the Conference will not stand for vote. For that case the next highest ranked nominee will move up the shortlistThe
